Sneaky Russians

Here are two articles from last week that talk about the same plans…

15-February 2008
Fars News AgencyTEHRAN (FNA)- Russia’s state nuclear contractor said on Thursday it would double staff at Iran’s first nuclear power station over the next year as Moscow prepares to start up the reactor at the plant.

15-February 2008
Agence-Presse FranceMOSCOW (AFP) – Russia’s nuclear constructor Atomstroiexport will nearly double its staff on the construction site of the Bushehr nuclear station Russia is building for Iran, the company’s president said late Thursday.”Earlier all our problems stemmed from irregular equipment supplies, now this is no big problem. But the problem of the lack of personnel remains, the deficit of workers is quite significant,” Sergei Shmatko said as quoted by the Interfax news agency.

The company planned to bring in up to 300 specialists within the next few weeks, and a total of 1,000 before the year was out, nearly doubling the current 1,500 Atomstroiexport staff at the site, Shmatko said.

Can you say, “Human Shield”? How many Russians does it take to prevent an attack anyway? Is there some kind of formula to work that out?

  1. Holy cow! Good info! My dad will love this blog and your list of links as soon as his DSL begins working properly. I thought our avatars matched nicely so thought I’d pay a visit – and now I am pleased to have a source of truth on these matters. (Please tell me this is a serious blog and not a joke, or else I feel really stupid right now).

  2. Hey Iknowkeith long time no visit.! I think its pretty astute to say that China and Russia and all their backed regimes have geo-political aims for the rest of the free world. I hope that people if they do not have a faith get one real soon. The Power of thought is immense and if its righteous enough the Gods Daos and Buddhas will act. We are in for one interesting year ahead!!
