A gratuitous plug for a good cause

A friend of mine is doing a 200 mile bike ride for Breast Cancer Survivors and Cancer research and could use all the help he can get to raise money for this ride.

These are his words:sample1.jpg

“At the end of September I am doing a 4 day, 200 mile bike ride from Hershey, PA to NYC to raise money for Breast Cancer survivors and Cancer research. The ride is restricted to 100 people and each rider must raise $2000 to participate in the ride. My original plan for this summer was to participate in a long ride to challenge myself and set a long term riding goal, but one of my coworkers told me about this ride and I thought it would be a great way to not only complete my goal, but more importantly, to support a good cause. Once I saw that many of the people participating in the ride are also cancer survivors, it motivated me to work and train harder and try to do my best to raise money for this cause.”

To donate to the ride click HERE. As of this writting he has raise $1,300. He still needs $700 more just to participate.

Help Make a Difference!

No matter how small or large, your generous gift will help improve the lives of more than 2.3 million women who suffer or have suffered from breast cancer. In one year alone, approximately 181,646 women and 1,826 men are diagnosed with breast cancer. Of that amount, approximately 41,619 women and 379 men die from breast cancer.

If you decide to support this ride and want some recognition on the Brick, feel free to leave a comment.
