The wisdom of a Chinese philosopher

Thought of the day…

“All warfare is based on deception”

    -Sun Tzu

I like to remember some of the ancient theories on warfare when I read the latest news out of the Middle East. Without insider access it is difficult to know if public statements by any leader are just empty words, signaling for a future war, or a deception ploy to gain political leverage. I guess that is why historians will always have a job. We never really know what happened until years later.

and this note from the editor:

There will be a brief break in publishing at The Incontiguous Brick due to a travel day. The family is going to Texas! If you are missing the wit and wisdom usually found here you might enjoy the new disclaimers page.
