“Happy Birthday to me”

Filed under: Friends of the Brick, Ramblings, Ron Paul — iknowkeith @ 5:00 am

birthday-cake.pngIt is that time of year again! Although some of you are probably thinking about ‘Super Tuesday’ (as if your Diebold counted votes are really going to make a difference) and others may be more concerned with ‘Fat Tuesday’, the real party is going on right here at the Brick. It is my honor to be the first to acknowledge the birthday of our editor in chief! Yeah!!!! ~Staff Writer.

And now for a special note from the editor:

“Happy Birthday to me. Happy Birthday to me. Happy Birthday to meee. Happy Birthday to me. Now stop reading this crap and go vote for Ron Paul! ~Editor, Incontiguous Brick.”

Thank you sir for those brilliant and inspired words. Seriously, if you live in one of the many states holding a primary today, GO VOTE! The Diebold thing was a joke, you really should go. And if you want to give our esteemed editor a really great birthday gift… VOTE FOR RON PAUL! ~another underpaid staff hack.

For a cash donation (an even better gift) you may contact this publication via the comments.  ~Poorly Compensated Editor, Incontiguous Brick.

Sorry about the break in service…

Filed under: Friends of the Brick, Ramblings — iknowkeith @ 12:45 pm

Those of you who read the Incontiguous Brick on a regular basis may have noticed a slight interruption from the usual regular postings that we have all come to enjoy. For this lack of effort I have only my staff to blame.

You see, I am in the middle of a major move and packed over 12,000 lbs. of stuff into a truck by myself (with only a little additional help). The shipment will be received tomorrow. This means a few more days of me being unable to dedicate the normal time to the Brick that I normally do.

So that leaves my staff of underpaid writers, fact checkers, researchers, think tanks, coffee brewers and slaves. It appears that I have been paying them way too much as they have not produced a single article during my absence. It is almost as if they only exist in my head! I really will have to have serious words with my human resources staff to get tho the bottom of all this. Perhaps a mass firing is in order.

In the mean time, please enjoy the many options in my blog roll or re-read some of your favorite posts from the past.

If you would like to apply for a minimally paid position with long hours and practically no recognition for your efforts, please send me your resume and I will forward it to the HR people for consideration.

“Friends” revisited again

Filed under: Friends of the Brick — iknowkeith @ 9:42 am

As many of you know I like to give credit to new links to me and bloggers that take the time to comment on the Brick. I usually do this during a dry spell when I have nothing to write (or just busy) or when I am too frustrated to put it into words. Right now is one of those two times…read the paper, you decide.

Friends of The Brick

Filed under: Friends of the Brick — iknowkeith @ 6:09 pm

I got nothing today. So this is a post I have been meaning to do for a while.
Here is a list of bloggers who have been compelled to write comments on the Incontiguous Brick.
Their support is much appreciated (even if they didn’t like the particular post) (more…)
